Up until recently, sleep studies have always been conducted in hospitals where you’d have to stay overnight to receive an accurate diagnosis.
At ApniSleep, we value your comfort, which is why we offer a Home Sleep Study which lets you perform a sleep test in the convenience of your own home. It records respiratory effort, pulse, oxygen saturation and nasal flow, and reports apneas, hypoapneas, flow limitation, snoring and blood oxygen saturation.
Our sleep technician or a registered nurse will come to your home in the evening to assist with the correct placement of the sensors. In the morning, the device will be picked up for data analysis and a follow up appointment will be set up for 3 – 7 days later. This is when you’ll be able to sit down with your doctor to discuss results and treatment options.
OrthoApnea is an oral device which looks like an adjustable orthodontic retainer, designed to help with the treatment of snoring and mild Sleep Apnea. It works by the controlled and comfortable advancement of the jaw, which helps improve muscle tone in the throat and airway, allowing for easy breathing.
Because air can flow freely, snoring is eliminated and apnea episodes are greatly reduced. And we know what that means – Happy patient and happy partner.

The APAP machine (Automated Positive Airway Pressure machine) is a device attached to a comfortable face mask that provides constant oxygenated pressure, keeping your throat and airway open. Think of it as an air splint that provides support for your airway and disallows the soft tissues in your throat to collapse during a breathing cycle. This means no more apnea episodes and gasping for breath while you’re trying to sleep.
